Creating spaces for what is most present. Here is information on our latest CORE Community Gathering.
ICF Certified Coach · Intercultural Trainer · Consultant · DEIB Facilitator · Experiential Learning Educator
Yesterday we gathered for our CORE Community Gathering and came together around this heartfelt question: "What should my priorities be for the time that is left to me?" I don't usually dwell much upon my own mortality, however it is an excellent practice to help bring into focus and alignment that which is most important. Yesterday was a special gift for me because I got to enjoy more of what these collective healing spaces can offer. After stringing the beads around our heartfelt responses to the question, we took some time to practice and reflect upon it with an activity called "The box we leave behind." The idea was to come up with a list of five things we would include in a box for our loved ones to find after we pass. I was in awe of the emotional and healing effects of this practice on my body, mind, emotions and spirit. I really encourage you to think about what you would include? Do you already have the items? Are there things you have yet to create to leave behind? As we do, to close the gathering we created a collective poem. You can see it in the image here and I share it as a Valentine for all of you to enjoy! I loved sharing the space with my co-facilitators Deepika Bhoolabhai (she/her) and Brian David George, as well as the participants who joined us. If you would like to attend our March gathering, it will be taking place on March 19th from 6-8 pm CET and you can register using the link in the comments.

Do you have a sense that we’re living through exceptionally unsettled times? Maybe you avoid the news in order to circumvent the stress caused by the latest twist in geopolitics? Regardless of your current affairs viewing habits, the general sense of disjointedness in the world must surely be evident to you. In certainly is for me. And that’s why I’ve set up the First Peace Circle event. It’s basically a year-long course with three meetings a month - excluding August and December - where a group of like-minded (or, as I like to put it, like-souled!) people go on an incredible journey together. The focus throughout will be on HARMONY. Harmony in the self. Harmony in relationships. Between two people. Harmony within a group. And, ultimately envisioning harmony between nations. The Lalita Devi First Peace Circle will be a journey of dedicated practice. Focusing on opening up to ourselves and to each other. Transcending differences and forming a community. Becoming aware of how we bring energy to ourselves and certain situations in our lives. And about learning just how to create a sense of balance and harmony throughout all our life. If you'd like to find out more then please visit my website (link in comments) or send me a message. Let’s come together in peace, harmony and unity. It’s what the world needs more than ever. #FirstPeaceCircle #InterculturalUnderstanding #LalitaDeviFirstPeaceCircle #AncientWisdom

2023 was a year of growth and new challenges. Nurturing old relationships and embarking on new partnerships. Your support has been crucial - thank you so much for being there! We wish you all the best for the coming year and, in the meantime, here's a re-cap from some of Intercultural Understanding's 2023 highlights… We ran IDI Guided Developmental coaching programs with Georgetown University Madrid and Salamanca programs, plus we offered trainings and workshops for staff and students from APUNE - Asociación de Programas Universitarios Norteamericanos en España , Spanish Studies Abroad in Sevilla, Marist College in Madrid, The University of California Education Abroad Program in Madrid and Barcelona, the EVE Abroad Program in Logroño, and for EUASA the European Association of Study Abroad during their Virtual Conference. And 2023 was also marked by intense collaboration with Deepika Bhoolabhai (she/her) and Brian David George in tailored programs offered online and in person to Openprovider, TGW Logistics, and others. And to round it off, in 2023 we also began offering Cutting the Ties that Bind sessions online as a tool for individuals to gain greater independence and internal security for life transitions and changes. We're really looking forward to all that 2024 has to bring! #interculturalunderstanding #2023Highlights #CuttingTheTiesThatBind

Dive into the holiday spirit with a reflective workshop! 🎄🤔 The upcoming holidays can be a mix of joy and stress, especially when conversations turn into polarised debates. This is why with Almendra Staffa-Healey, ACC and Suze McCullagh we dive into this interesting topic through a reflective workshop: our goal is to enter the festive season with more (self-)awareness and understanding (and yes, with our sanity - hopefully - intact). Save your spot now and join us on December 13th - the link is in the first comment below. #SIETAR #SIETAREspaña #PersonalDevelopment #DifficultConversations

Intercultural Understanding, S.L. reposted this
Embarking on a new service inevitably stirs up mixed emotions. From excitement and hope through to worries of failure. So I was overjoyed with how well our first CORE community gathering went on October 17, 2023. Deepika Bhoolabhai (she/her), Brian David George and myself led the free workshop to help create a space of collective sharing and collaboration. We then followed the structure of the Circle of Fire gatherings whereby active listening is encouraged and space given to each participant to share how they are feeling. There was also an element of First Peace Circles incorporated, which is aimed at activating a higher consciousness for peace through a collective coming together. The feedback that we received after the session was really positive, with people saying that everyone had been so warm and welcoming during the event and that they felt a lot more peaceful and connected with others afterwards. Our next CORE Community gathering is on Tuesday November 14th from 6-8 pm CET and I welcome you to register for it (link in comments). Because it’s only by coming together in sessions like this that we have any chance of healing this world. #CORE #CircleOfFire #FirstPeaceCircle #CoreCommunityGathering #ActiveListening #Peace https://lnkd.in/eg8TjuNh
